pitfall of sideband method

this method supposed that the edge is perpendicular to the radius.
if the edge is slanted across the cross-section, then sidebands miss the middle area.

solution

1. after creating sideband, check the rect-bbox of middle-band to see if it contains non-zero points (valley), if so, extend the sidebands to fullband.
